Apple has released a new update for iPhoto users, addressing several minor issues and improving the stability of the software. The update is free to download and install on any machine running Mac OS X 10.5.6, the latest version of Leopard available.

Talking about the iPhoto 8.0.1 Update on the Support segment of its web site, Apple reveals that the new release should improve overall stability, while addressing minor issues in a number of areas, “including internet connectivity, keyword import, and slideshow export,” reads the documentation.
Weighing in at close to 12 megabytes, the update requires Mac OS X 10.5.6 and supports a number of languages, including Deutsch, English, Français, Español, Italiano, Nederlands, Dansk, Norsk Bokmål, Polski, Português, Pусский, Suomi, Svensk, Chinese, Simplified Chinese and more.
iPhoto has been developed by Apple itself exclusively for Mac OS X. The program is part of the iLife suite of applications and comes bundled with every new Mac. iPhoto can import, organize, edit, print and share digital photos. The software is comparable with Google's Picasa, Adobe's Photoshop Album, or Microsoft's Expression Media and Windows Photo Gallery.
