In the same way Is a MacBook good to play Sims on? There are many other suitable options for a Sims 4 laptop out there, like the newer MacBook Pros (2014 onwards) and the MacBook Air (2015 onwards), which can run the game with pretty much all the expansions at low to medium graphics settings. According to Wikipedia: The Sims 4 is a life simulation video game developed by Maxis and The Sims Studio and published by Electronic Arts. The Sims 4 was originally announced on May 6, 2013, and was released in North America on September 2, 2014. I usually play the game on my Macbook Pro, but it's temporarily broken, so I want to know if the game would run well on the Air. Here is my laptop info: MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2011) Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7. Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB. I apologize if there is already a discussion on this subject. Easily Recover Lost or Deleted Data:up to 1 GB lost or deleted data on Ma. Can the sims 4 run on macbook air? Hi fellow simmers, as I’m about to buy a new macbook, i’m hesitant between an air and a pro – i’ve always had pros but the new air sounds more budget-friendly. Is the game quality any good on macbook air as well? I’m mostly building and obviously use a sh.t ton of ccs thanks a lot:-) 0 comments.

Well, yes. The Sims 3 is pretty intense on graphics, but the MacBook Airs have excellent graphic cards. The 11 inch model should handle it just fine, so you can really run it on anything. The MacBook Air is designed for portability but yet power as well.
Specs for the Sims 3 were probably still written mostly for HDD drives. Remember, the MacBook Air uses a SSD drive. This means that the drive does not spin, and it is mounted on the logic board just like the iPad and iPhone. Because the computer can access its data faster through the hard drive, the processor does not have to be quite as powerful. Apple wouldn't make it if it wasn't awesome.
The one thing I would recommend is RAM. Try to max out your RAM as much as you can depending on which Mac you get, especially because what you get on the MacBook air is what you're stuck with. Meaning that you cannot go back and add RAM later. Everything on the MacBook Air except batteries and speakers are built directly onto the Logic Board.
Good Luck!

I have the 13 inch Macbook Air and I have NEVER played the Sims on my Macbook before or my other laptop. I need to understand how this Origin thing works because I know that it says you need that to play The Sims. The point is that my Macbook does not have a disk drive to put the disk in. Once The Sims 4 comes out, what do I need to do in order to get The Sims 4 for my Macbook? Please help and also by informing me how this Origin process works. Thanks for your support!
